Here's the very first piece of my FKFic. Hope you can add it to your archives. It has an adult header although nothing graphic. Thanks! Ell Hase Preamble: I've often wondered what would happen if Nick got his wish, truly became mortal and "real life" set in. I've also often thought that Nick's vampiric charisma and "unavailability" as lover was part of the attraction for Natalie. That's how this story came about. Thanks, Vanessa for kindly beta reading and encouraging me to quit lurking. Disclaimers: Forever Knight is owned by Sony. I'm not making any profit from this. Thoughts on Togetherness at Three in the Morning by Ell Hase Another long night of silent contemplation in the dark. Three in the morning and still Natalie de Brabant did not sleep. Her body burned and ached with unfulfilled wants. He lay warm and asleep, just slightly beyond her hand, yet he may as well have been a continent away. An innocent, asleep. "Why can't I have the same peace?" she whispered to the night. She thought of the happy moment when they had at last beaten the vampire. They had celebrated in the sun. Laughing, totally alive. They had made love on a private beach that first day of the honeymoon. His skin was so beautiful as it gleamed with sweat from the heat of the day and their love play. Nat shivered slightly at the memory. "More_Nat_I could never get enough of you," he said as he lost himself again and again in her. (Her cheeks warmed at the thought.) No more wanting without fulfillment. No more holding back, the need to keep control. No more fear of the beast threatening to destroy everything. But with the disappearance of the beast, the wanting slowly faded in Nick. Natalie de Brabant (nee Lambert) became conquered, familiar territory. The passion cooled gently. Deep affection remained. He truly did love her. They were very comfortable. Nick and Nat. Nat and Nick. Never shall the twain part. The memory stung. She shifted restlessly, brushing away a little tear then turned her back to him. A brief sigh. Sleep began to claim Nat and she slowly drifted into what would be more of her frustrated dreams. And still her body burned... Fin Ell Hase erahim@about.com Sign up for a free About Email account at http://About.com
