WAR: Knighties: Tofu of my Dreams

Thanks to Vachon's taste, and Nick's credit line, the Knighties all had stylin' new leather outfits for the upcoming festivities. Now all they needed was a gift for the Schanke's. Gemsong thought a nice pair of black silk pj's for Myra would be nice,then she could have a set to match Don's.

But for Don, that would be more difficult.Finally the Knighties settled on a group picture of themselves, complete with autographs on the back, To Don--Love The Knighties.As well asa leather wallet, picked up during Mindy and Vachon's shopping spree.

Finally, the Knighties were all decked out and ready to head to the FoD party.*About time* Muttered Vachon under his breath.

Mindy, Katrinka and Gemsong piled into the caddy, with several more knighties in tow. Vachon was driving, but wished he could have taken his Triumph. Not that he minded the knighties, he just didn't like having to be this classy. The group arrived at the FoD mansion, and Vachon helped the Knighties out of the car.

Katrinka was dressed in black leather, a long skirt with a nice slit up the back, black boots and a red silk blouse. Mindy had chosen a short black leather skirt, royal blue silk shirt and dressy black sandals. Gemsong  rounded out the group wearing skin tight deep blue leather pants, laced up
both sides and a shiny silver top, tied around the neck and mid-back. More a  bandana then a shirt, and barely covering the Knightie. Vachon surveyed the group and seemed quite pleased with himself as they entered the party.

As Gem entered the mansion, she thought she felt someone's eyes on her.  She turned just in time to see the cousin Talon checking her out, and smiled inwardly. Min, Gem and Kat quickly found the gift table and added the knighties presents to the pile.

There was so much food, the three hardly knew where to start. Of course, they had to have some Souvlaki, so they went in search of the stuff. They found the table piled high with all the known varieties of Souvlaki, and even a few they thought were new for this war. The scents were absolutely delicious.

Kat and Gem started taking small slices of several different varieties, while Min took a rather large slice of the tofu kind. "Gotta try it, as it has figured so prominately this war." She replied with a shrug, to the stares of  her fellow knighties.

Kat and Gem just rolled their eyes and went to scope out the dessert table. "Hey Min," Gem called. "There's cheesecake here. Several varieties..." Mindy stopped mid bite, and quickly plopped the Souvlaki down in deference to the food of the gods.

"Do they have any 'Death by Chocolate' kind?", she asked as she approached the table.

"Uh-huh." Kat nodded. "And soo many more."

"Don't know what this is, but it is chocolate and looks heavenly....", Gem responded.

In fact, the spread was so great, many of the Knighties mourned their choice of tight leather clothing and set them to wondering how well received they would have been, had they shown up wearing sweats.

Having sufficiently scoured the food tables and with full plates to boot, the knighties went in search of drinks and somewhere to sit. They passed the table with the anniversary cake on it. "How beautiful, Myra should be pleased," Gem told Min.

"I'm sure she'll love it. The FoDs have really outdone themselves."

Kat added, "Schanke has done a great job this year, perhaps that switch with  Nick gave him a little romantic tendency after all." Several Knighties nodded in agreement as they chose an area not too far from the cake table. They would be out of the way, but it was open to provide a prime people watching view, and close to the dance floor to give the knighties easy access should they chose to dance. Looking around, the trio couldn't help but notice their hosts absence. "Perhaps Schanke is picking up a nice bouquet for Myra," Gem suggested. The knighties then proceeded to do what everyone knows they do best.....stuff their faces and dance. Not both at the same time though.

Brooksie strode up to the small group of Knighties panting lightly.Nickbod was just behind her. They'd been on the dance floor. Gem turned, feeling a hand on her shoulder. "Would you care to dance, they are playing my song,"Nickbod asked.

Min smiled knowingly. It was the tango. "Go Gem!" she said.

Gem took the offered hand and found herself led to the dance floor. Nickbodhad swiped a rose from one of the vases on the table and now had it clinched between his teeth. Gem stifled a laugh and prepared for the Tango. She found herself wishing that she had skipped dessert, as her pants were now quite tight, and  the laces revealing ever so slightly more leg.

Across the room....someone watched every move the pair made. Gem was oblivious to that fact as she was skillfully led into the Tango. Halfway through the dance, Gem took the rose thatNickbod offered to her as they shared a tender kiss. The Knighties on the sidelines sighed dreamily into their cheesecake.

As the kiss ended, with Gemsong now holding the rose in her teeth, Nickbod leaned ever so slightly more into the knighties arms. "Do you feel all right?", Gem asked Nickbod as she motioned for Katrinka to join her on the dance floor. "Just feeling a bit weak at the moment, and dizzy" Nickbod responded just before loosing consciousness and falling into the arms of the  Knightie leader and her trainee.

The knighties rushed over and surrounded the trio, hoping this time that Nick would be himself when he awoke.
