All Knighties used with permssion "It's not fair!" Knightie Katrinka said a bit peeved. "I wanted to go to that party!" "Someone's got to stay here," Knightie Sandra tried to soothe. "Might as well be us." "I wanted to party." "Yeah, but last time you went out you turned into something called MS'Kaye." Sandra began to go through DVD's. "Why don't you pick out a movie." Katrinka took the stack of DVD's, it only took her a minute to find the movie she wanted. "Princess Bride, we've got to see it!" "Sure why not." "I thought it might be too sappy for you." "No, it's one of my daughter's favorite movies." She got up and went into the kitchen. "Go ahead and put the movie in." Katrinka put the movie on, and settled down on the couch. "Can you help me for a moment?" Sandra asked. "I can't get the microwave open." Katrinka turned off the DVD player. For a breif moment, she saw the comerical playing on television. The comerical was for watches, pocket watches. "Kat!" Sandra yelled. "Coming," Katrinka joined Sandra in the kitchen. "Vat is zee trouble?" Sandra looked at her strangly. "Why are you talking that way?" "No reason. Now what's the trouble with the microwave?" "The problem is, Nat hid the popcorn!" "Is that all?" "*You* where with her when it happened! Tell me where she put it." The Knightie demanded. "Listen very carefully, I shall say this only once." Katrinka said seriously. "The popcorn is in a safe behind the painting by Von Clomp." Sandra looked around the apartment. "What Von Clomp?" "I shall say *this* only once," Katrinka continued. "The painting is in Nick's bedroom." "Bedroom?" "Yes, bedroom." "YOu stay here! Don't move." "Of course I will not move." Sandra went up the steps to the bedroom. She found the painting right where Katrinka told her. By the time she had retreave the popcorn, Katrinka had put on a black beret. She looked up to Sandra. "I told you it would be there." "Why would Nat put it there?" Sandra asked. "Because she is part of the resistance!" Before the Knightie could ask 'what resistance?' The doorbell rang. "I will take care of it!" Katrinka said, she went to answer the door. ********************** Ten minutes later, the fearless resistance fighter, Katrinka of the Resistance went into the loft. The only other people in the loft was Sandra and several of her followers. "What was all that noise?" Sandra asked. "The enemy was at our door." "The enemy," Sandra repeated. "We are at war, are we not?" Katrinka pointed out. "Yes, but it's a friendly war. We don't have enemies." "Of course we have enemies." The woman said firmly. "This is a war, and we are the Knightie Resistance. Making the world free for the Knighties." "Have you lost your mind?" One of the followers asked. Katrinka went to the window, and looked out. "Good, they are gone." "Who are gone?" Another follower asked. "The enemy." "They got what they wanted, then they left." "What did they want?" "A tunic of the Knight. It was made of metal." The woman said nonplused. "You gave someone Nick's TUNIC?" Sandra demanded. "Of course I did not give them the *real* tunic." Katrinka smiled. "The resistance has made many copies of the tunic." "Show me the real tunic." Katrinka went to the fireplace. She pushed on a brick. A secret door poped out. She then picked up a package. "See, tunic nice and safe." Then Katrinka picked up the pocket watch that was on the shelf next to the tunic. "Katrinka!" Katrinka turned to the startled group. "My name's MS'KAYE! I will write all of you up!" "Ms'Kaye." Sandra repeated. "Yes, Ms'Kaye!" She took the baret off, and threw it on the ground. Sandra turned to the other Knighties. "She's over the edge again!" "What shall we do?" asked another Knightie. "I've got a plan." Sandra smiled. ************* An hour later, a startled Katrinka found herself locked in Nick's room. Katrinka@flash.net NICK NEEDS YOU! Acting Leader of the Knighties
