WAR: Knighties: “Bring on the Knight Life” (01/01) Date/Time: Friday, 7/6/01; evening Place: The Raven By Brooksie Knighties Nancy, Eowyn, Mindy, Gemsong, Katrinka, Lisa, Jeannie and Tracey used with permission; Natbody used with permission ----------------------------------------- Nick Knight’s uniquely green Caddy pulled up in front of The Raven. Seated in its capacious interior were a number of Knighties suitably attired for the party that was well underway inside. Mindy, as the designated driver, got out of the driver’s seat and handed the keys to the valet. Together, the Knighties, along with Natbody, walked up to the doorman and flashed their invitations. With a nod the door was opened and they were engulfed by the laughter and loud music from the elegant club. Eowyn led the way down the interior stairs dressed elegantly in a red strapless dress with a full cocktail skirt, red pantyhose and red-sequined pumps. Her short hair was done in a spiral-like perm. Nancy followed her wearing a slinky sapphire blue dress with matching high heels. She wobbled and teetered precariously on those high heels until Lisa, (who had to be talked out of wearing scrubs), put out a hand to steady her. “Not used to heels much, eh Nancy?” Lisa asked. Doing her best impression of a nonplussed cat, Nancy replied, “As if a med student had much time to practice either.” Then she winked. “Like your dress, though.” Lisa smiled. She had eventually settled on wearing a simple, long, sequined, medium blue sheath. With her hair dusted with glitter, she sparkled in the multi-colored club lights. Next, the two members of Club Red, Gemsong and Mindy, came down the stairs together. They were already commenting on the Raven’s decorations and how they compared very favorably to last year. Gemsong was in her black miniskirt and tied-at-the-waist emerald green silk blouse, with black stockings and black peau de soie pumps. Her vibrant red hair was loose and fell to the middle of her back. Mindy was the opposite of Gemsong. She had on a dress that had a black velvet strapless top that showed off a striking green beaded choker, and a short sea green leather skirt. Iridescent stockings and strappy shoes, that would make any Ravenette drool, completed her outfit. Her long red hair was loosely caught up wire-strung green beads. Bringing up the rear of the group was Brooksie, Jeannie and Natbody. Brooksie was dressed in a simple black sleeveless gown with a square neckline and a lightweight silver beaded short jacket. Her hair was piled on top of her head. Jeannie wore an elegant off-white shantung silk suit with pearl earrings and a pin that was a replication of the de Brabant coat of arms. Then there was Natbody. She was another story. Earlier in the evening, the Natpack had delivered a beautiful dress of Natalie’s. Nickmind took one look at the dresses and simply refused to put them on. Sandra spoke up from her seat on the couch, "I still think that it's a bad idea to let her, er, him to go to the party at the Raven." But Katrinka and Nancy and Eowyn and Mindy all tried to cajole Nickmind into just trying them on. It wasn’t until he threatened to walk into the sun, that they realized he was serious. Eowyn whispered to Katrinka, “Poor Nick, he still hasn’t quite gotten the hang of the rules of body swapping, yet, has he?” “Apparently not, if he thinks that he can walk Nat’s body into the sun and implode.” So someone had lent Natbody some black jeans and boots. One of Nick’s silk shirts and vests were retrieved and put on Natbody. The sleeves had to be rolled up some. Thusly attired, Nickmind went to The Raven party in search of Nickbody. ***End****
