Knighties: Feeding the Bear By Knightie Katrinka Time: sometime Wed. VB used with permission Feeding the thundering hordes of Knighties wasn't an easy job. It was Katrinka's turn to cook. This was a good thing, as she was one of the few Knighties who liked to cook. She went into Nick's walk in pantry to look for something to cook. She found a small brown bear stuffed between two bottles of Diet Mountain Dew. "What are you doing in here?" The Knightie leader asked. She had softness for little cute stuffed animals. Even though this was almost two feet tall, it was so cute! The bear looked at her with a start! It got to its feet and ran across the shelf. *I'm going crazy! I'm seeing a moving stuffed animal. * *Must be one of those new fanged things. * She reached out to grab the bear. It sunk its fangs in her finger. The woman let out a yelp! The bear stayed fastened onto the finger. It was heavy too, almost two kilos! Katrinka shook her finger, but the bear stayed fastened. Then she banged it once, twice on the shelf. The bear fell off, and began to run across the kitchen. Katrinka's hand hurt. It felt as if was on fire. *That thing broke the skin! * The Knightie found a bandage, and bandaged her finger. Then she took off in search of the bear. She found the bear hiding behind a chair. Katrinka ran to get it. That made the bear flee across the living room floor. "No bear is going to run from me!" Katrinka yelled. She chased the bear. When she got only a few feet from the bear, the bear flew through the air! It landed beside the bathroom. Gemsong came out of the bathroom; she picked up the bear. "Oh how cute!" "Gem! Watch out! The bear's possessed!" Katrinka shouted. "How can the bear be possessed?" Gemsong smiled, she went down the steps to the living room. "It's evil! It bit me!" "How can a stuffed animal bite someone?" "Because it's not a normal bear! It's the spawn of vampires!" "Oh please!" Gemsong put the bear on the kitchen counter. She turned to get some coffee. The bear ran across the counter, and fell off. Katrinka screamed. "It's moving!" The woman turned, she picked the bear back up. "I must have dropped it." "It didn't drop. It fell! It was running across the counter!" Katrinka insisted. "Stuffed animals don't do that," The woman said, as if talking to a child. Katrinka picked up a cooking chopstick. "There's only one thing we can do. Stake the bear!" "Your bonkers!" Just then two little fans sunk into Gemsong's arm! The woman yelled. She pried the fangs out of her arm, then ran to the freezer and threw the bear in. She shut and locked the freezer. "Are you okay?" Katrinka asked concerned. "I'm fine." Gemsong said, finding a bandage. "That thing's a menace." "Can you believe it's alive?" "It's not alive. It's a toy that's acting up. Once it freezes, we'll be able to take the batteries out." The woman paused. "Why am I craving honey?" "Gem, I think you need to take a nap. A long nap!" Katrinka smiled. "I know I do! Imagine, seeing walking bears!" Gemsong smiled. "Your right. There's no such thing as walking bears!"
