FoD:Souvlaki and an invite 1/1

place: The Happy Souvlaki Deli
timeline: early evening July 5

"Man oh man oh man did I miss that glorious smell."Detective Don Schanke
exclaimed with delight as he walked into the Happy Souvalki Deli and took a
seat at the counter.

The FoD's immediately gathered around him wide smiles on their faces.

"Schanke we did give you a key to the Deli so you could use it anytime you
and Myra wanted."Kathy stated as she sat down next to him.

Schanke nodded as he looked around at the group. "Yeah, but cookin' for
yourselves is just not the same as walking in and smellin' the wonderful
smells."

"It's great to see you again."Cindy exclaimed as she gave Schanke a quick
hug. "How are Myra and Jenny?"

Schanke beamed. "They're fantastic. Jenny's on the honor list this semester."

"That's wonderful."Spifff commented as she placed a plate of piping hot
Souvlaki in front of Schanke.

As he picked up a fork Schanke did a head count of the FoD's and looked at
Cindy. "Aren't we a few short?"

Cindy nodded. "Real life affected a lot but everybody who couldn't make it
sends their support."

"Glad they're okay."Schanke replied as he leaned in close to the plate.
"Mmmmmmm that smells heavenly."

The FoD's glanced at each other and shook their heads with amusement. Some
things didn't change.

"Hey look at this."Leah said as she picked up an invitation from the counter
that no one else had noticed.

"The Ravenettes are throwing a party."Senara read over Leah's shoulder. "7:00
Friday night at the Raven."

"Maybe we'll know then what this war is about."Spifff suggested as she took
the invitation from Leah.
