Title: "Breakfast Menu" (1/2) Authors: Senara, and Cindy Timing: July 9th About an hour (Schanke took the long way again) after "Something's Not Right In the Land of Schanke" Everyone used with permission. The doors to the Deli opened and in walked Schanke, followed by packages. Well, make that two FoD'ers carrying lots of packages. Schanke was carrying packages as well, and munching on a big pretzel. All the FoDs jaws dropped at the sight of their friend. He was impeccably attired. A silk shirt with a contrasting vest combined with dark pants to flatter Don's figure. His shoes were shiny, and he looked soo not like the Don they knew. "Kathy!" Spifff yelled. "Put down whatever is in your hands, and come out here! NOW!" Kathy dropped the bowl of eggs she was scrambling. It was a good thing too! She wasn't prepared for the sight of the Spiffy Don. Senara was busy stowing the packages in a closet to be sent to the Schanke house later. She joined the rest of the FoDs in the kitchen in time to hear Cindy explain their discovery. Schanke had been switched, but they didn't know with whom. Kathy passed mugs of caffeine to Cindy and Senara and went back to cooking. Schanke poked his head in and announced that he wanted breakfast. "Oh, and I'll help the people at the counter." Five minutes later Schanke stuck his head back in. "Can one of you come out here?" Sure enough, there was a commotion building at the counter. Kathy promised to get Schanke his breakfast while the rest of the crew worked the morning rush. The crew sat down to enjoy their breakfasts. Kathy told them all the weird things that Schanke wanted for breakfast. Oh sure, there was the usual eggs (although with lots of ketchup), and Canadian bacon, and sausage, and home fries. Then Schanke wanted hot chocolate, a cheeseburger, Caesar salad, and a root beer float. "And ALL FOR BREAKFAST!! Something isn't right!!" Poor Kathy hadn't seen her friend act this wacky. Spifff narrowed her eyes and studied Schanke. "You know," she said, "if he's switched, he's been switched with a major character. Who else do we know that would dress like that?" Everyone came up with two suggestions: Nick and LaCroix. Well, LC was left out of the running, since he certainly wouldn't be wanting to eat all that real food although Senara was convinced that the black silk pjs were the tip-off that it was the Uncle himself. But everyone felt that the Mind-in-Schanke was Nick. While they were in this discussion, Schanke slipped back into the kitchen to put his dishes away. He wanted to help out, to repay the girls for their kindness in feeding him everything he asked, he decided to clean the kitchen. Schanke was in the middle of reorganizing the cabinets when a loud shriek caught his attention. It was Kathy, trembling in shock at what he had done to the Deli's kitchen. End
