Title: Puer Les Cousins, or ... You did WHAT to the Limo??? (1/1) Authors: Cousin Shelley and Arletta Asbury Faction: Cousins Time: Sunday Evening Immediately after "Cousins Come Calling, or ... Multi-Speciesism Forever" Date: Sunday, July 15, 2001 Disclaimers: All participants used with permission Getting back into the limo after the UF party, the cousins were relieved that the UF had chosen not to retaliate -- other than to let them know, that they knew who had attacked them. Most of the Cousins were still a little wary, but even Celeste had relaxed a bit. "I can't believe they wanted my *signature*!" glowed Deborah happily. Brandi smiled at her and said, "I wonder how they knew you did the mural?" Tser looked up and said, "or how they knew it was us that pulled the attack at all?" "I know nothink! Nothink!" said Cousine Celeste in her best Sergeant Schultz imitation. Everyone stared at her wondering just *what* she meant. "I can't believe they let us out of there that easily," commented Tok, looking around nervously. There were murmurs of agreement as everyone took a fast look around inside the limo. Nothing seemed out of place, and several sighs of relief could be heard as the limo pulled away. Gandalf, the vamp-kittie leader, had apparently decided that this was the proper time to introduce himself to Janette in LaCroix's body. Jumping into his lap, he looked up and said, "meow." Janette at first looked startled, then *upset* when she realized that cat fur was clinging to her impeccable suit. Brushing the cat hairs off quite suddenly, she knocked the unsuspecting Gandalf to the floor near the back where some lumpy parcels, previously overlooked, were tucked under a blanket. A strange growling noise could be heard coming from *whatever* was under there. Six cousins and one vampire in the wrong body all looked at one another, fear growing on their faces. Carefully, Tser pulled the blanket off and saw three small cages beneath. Bending down, she suddenly relaxed and put her fingers through the nearest cage saying, "Oh Hi! I've been missing you!" At that point, some feet stamping could be heard from within the cages. Then some hissing sounds. The five cousins not bending over the cages were becoming frantic. "What is in there, Tser?" "What's making those noises?" "What do the noises mean??" "Oh, don't worry, skunks make those noises when they are frightened or feel threatened. They do that before spraying because ... STOP THE LIMO!," she suddenly shouted. In an instant three things happened, the limo stopped with a lurch, six cousins and a vampire sprang thru the opened doors, and an odd sound reached their ears followed by an even worse smell. "S-s-spraying?" Shelley asked unnecessarily. "Spraying," confirmed the Cousine. She'd had experience with skunk-juice when her cat Scully had tried to adopt a baby skunk as her new kitten last year. "Phew," Deborah said, fanning herself. "EEEEEEWWWWWWWWWW! It stinks!" said Brandi. Then four *extremely* smelly vamp-kitties emerged. "This is disgusting," Janette in LaCroix's body said to the group. "I'm going to ... bathe." She flew off into the night faster than the cousins could see. The vamp-kitties, looking rather disgusted themselves, flew off to follow her. Looking around, Shelley saw they were outside of a bar. Normally, she didn't frequent bars, but she was pretty thirsty from their close encounter with the skunks. She looked at the sign hanging from the bar, and gasped. The letters were white on a black sign and read "Le Pugh". After attacking with skunks, then being skunked back in the limo moments before, it seemed hysterically funny to the cousin and she began to giggle first, then laugh loudly. The others all glared at her, failing to find the humor in an undrivable limo and some interesting odors all around. Then, one by one, they looked up at the sign Shelley was pointing to and began to laugh themselves. "Hey, I could sure use a drink after all this, anyone else?" Shelley giggled. Heads bobbed up and down in agreement. Tser, getting a mischievous look on her face, ducked into the smelly limo and retrieved one of the cages holding a spotted skunk. The other cousins gave her a wide berth as they entered the establishment.
